Islamabad : Kashmir Solidarity Day in Private Educational Institutions
Federal Minister, Rana Tanveer Hussain highlighted that struggle of peoples of Kashmir for their right to self-determination as per UN revolution. He emphasized that “We stand in solidarity with the peoples of Kashmir and call for an end to violence, oppression and human rights violations that have plagued the region for far too long. He further said that Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training is committed to raising awareness and providing support to the peoples of Kashmir and would continue to work towards ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights respected in line with the Vision of Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In compliance to instructions issued by Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA), private schools and colleges in Islamabad observe Kashmir Solidarity Day every year, to highlight the atrocities of the Indian occupation forces in Kashmir. special events are also arranged at different institutions with focus on Issue of Kashmir and Solidarity with Kashmiri on February 05, 2023 wherein different activities including speeches / essay writing / quiz competition, painting/poster making, display of poster, solidarity walk, tableau/ performance by students are organized in private schools/colleges in Islamabad on the issue of Kashmir. Private Schools Association Islamabad highlighted that an internationally recognized day observed by people, predominantly Kashmiris, worldwide. President Mr Zofran Ellahi and Secretary General Abdul Waheed Khan said The day is marked by, special prayers in Morning Aswmblyfor the liberation of Kashmir and protests that are carried out against the Indian oppression of Kashmir. Teachers and students commemorates peace walk to raise the voice of innocent Kashmiri people to whole world. Students show Solidarity with Kashmir on the day. Students perform tableaus in which the issues of Kashmiri people was portrayed to give moral support to the people of Kashmir and to recognize their long-standing freedom struggle till the day.
