Commissioner assures RDA in its efforts to finalize regional development plan and master plan


Rawalpindi : The Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaqat Ali Chatha has visited Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), RDA spokesman said.
The Director General RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa and other RDA officers welcomed the Commissioner Rawalpindi and extended appreciation remarks for him.
On this occasion, a meeting was held in the RDA conference room. The DG RDA briefed the Commissioner Rawalpindi about the reforms and development works being carried out by the RDA. He gave a detailed briefing regarding RDA projects including Rawalpindi Ring Road, Nullah Lai Expressway, Kachehri Chowk Rawalpindi, RDA Parking Plaza, Fawara Chowk Rawalpindi and others.
The Commissioner Rawalpindi appreciated RDA work. He directed to start the projects as early as possible and to do hard work with integrity.
He also sought that the Rawalpindi Master Plan should be prepared immediately. He assured cooperation to RDA of Divisional Administration and District Administration in finalizing regional development plan for planned urban growth. He has directed to complete it as early as possible. He also directed RDA officers to act honestly and serve the general public.
The Manging Director Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Muhammad Tanveer also gave a briefing regarding WASA performance. The Commissioner Rawalpindi directed the WASA to increase the revenue and also increase the water tariff. He further directed that bold steps should be taken for sustainability and stability.
The Chief Engineer RDA Dr Habibul Haq Randhawa, Director Admn and Finance RDA and Land Development Malik Ghazanfar Ali, Director Engineering Aamir Rasheed, Director Engineering Muhammad Anwar Baran, Director Estate Management Asif Mahmood Janjua, Director Building Control Jamshaid Aftab, Director MP&TE Tahir Meo, Director Architecture Shuja Ali, Deputy Director Planning RDA Samiullah Niazi, Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid and other officers of RDA and WASA participated in the meeting.
