United and innovative Parliaments of world; sure recipe for resolving the global challenges says NA speaker

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that Pakistan and United Kingdom enjoys cordial relations based upon shared culture of democracy and parliamentry form of government. He said that these ties can be strengthened by enhancing parliament to parliament contacts. He expressed these views during his meeting with Speaker of House of Commons Mr.Lindsay Hoyle on the sidelines of 26th Conference of Conference of Speakers & Presiding officers of Commonwealth (CSPOC ) in Canberra Australia.
While discussing the innovative initiatives introduced by Parliament of Pakistan, he said that Parliament of Pakistan has been at the forefront to guide the nation on the path of Progress of development. He also said that it is the first “Green Parliament” , first in the region to establishment Parliamentary cacus on the child rights, 1st time ever that doors of parliament were opened for those who are real pillars of democracy like women, children, minorities and transgender on the occasion of diamond jubilee celebration. He also said that this year Parliament of Pakistan also enacted record number of Legislation beside fighting successfully the case of climate justice for Pakistan also.
Speaker House of Commons Mr. Lindsay Hoyle expressed solidarity with flood affected people of Pakistan. He said that enhancing Parliamentary contacts are pivotal to learn from parliamentary experiences. He also said that innovative parliaments are essential pre -requisite to tackle the global challanges.
