DG RDA takes notice of encroachment on public land.

RAWALPINDI, : On the direction of the Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority Saif Anwar Jappa, the State Management Directorate and Building Control Wing RDA launched action against individual for encroaching the public land in Saidpur Housing Scheme and demolished the house being constructed by the occupant.
Earlier, the complainant of New Phagwari had taken a stance while applying to the Director General RDA that a citizen has started construction of a house in front of his house in violation of by-laws on plot number 31 and also subsumed public land into it. Therefore, the government land should be retrieved by the Authority.
On which the Director General RDA Saif Anwar Jappa directed the Director of Estate Management Directorate Asif Mahmood Janjua to take immediate action against it. Following which, State Management Directorate and Building Control Wing staff have demolished the illegally constructed house.
In this regard, Director General RDA said that no one will be allowed to occupy even an inch of government land. “Citizens should get the maps of their houses approved by the concerned branch of RDA to avoid any inconvenience “
The DG RDA expressed displeasure over the unauthorized building construction and issued show-cause notices to Building Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed and other staff.
