Pakistan Army helicopter on relief mission missing in Balochistan, ISPR

Rawalpindi : One of Pakistan Army Aviation helicopter, which was on flood relief operation in Lasbela, Balochistan, has lost contact with Air Traffic Control.

On 01 Aug 22 at about 1710hrs Heli (Acrycl Heli) of 7 Army Avn Sqn took off from Uthal for PAF Base FSL.
ETA was expected at around 1805hrs however Heli has not yet landed at PAF Bas Faisal.
On board Lt Gen Sarfaraz Ahmad Corps Cdr 12 Core.
Fault diagnosed overdue (missing). ATC FSL is making efforts to locate the subject Aircraft.

Rescue Operation
At about 1850hrs MI-17 of 7 Army Avn Sqn and at about 2010hrs Augusta from PAF Base Masroor.

According to ISPR, Commander 12 Corps Lt General Sarfraz Ali was on board along with five others.
Search operation for the helicopter is underway.
