JKPL expresses resentment over slapping of PSA on 14 Islamabad youth

Islamabad: (VOM) The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has expressed strong resentment and anger over arrest and slapping of Public Safety Act on fourteen Islamabad youth and shifting them to Jammu’s Kotbalwal jail.

JKPL Spokesman Mohammad Iqbal in a statement issued in srinagar said that fourteen youth, which include Aadil Wagay, Rayees Turray, Barik ,Arsalan Qaiser and others were arrested before 15 days ago and were kept under illegal detention in different Police stations in Islamabad district, and now yesterday the arrested youth were slapped with blacklaw Public Safety Act(PSA) and shifted to Koltbalwal prison in Jammu Region.

Spokesman said that, the families of arrested youth are much worried about their well being. He Said that, repressive measures are being used as tools to force people of Kashmir into a submission.

He further said that, Kashmir issue is related to civilized human society and recognized by international community and added that it is not a law and order problem and cannot be resolved through arbitrary and repressive measures. “It is pending since long and the people suffer and face political uncertainty and instability.
