RDA housing scheme to be made very soon: Chairman RDA
Rawalpindi: A meeting to review the progress of various works of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) was held at Conference Room of RDA.
The meeting was chaired by RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and Director General RDA.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman RDA directed to provide relief to the general public. He said that the masses should know about Building and Zoning Regulations 2020 and illegal housing schemes.
He said, “this is a big question that since 1989 RDA housing scheme has not been developed yet. The housing scheme should already to be developed.” He directed the Director MP&TE to made Establishment of Interest (EOI) quickly.
The Chairman RDA has also directed the MP&TE Directorate to continue the crackdown against illegal housing schemes, illegal and unauthorized constructions and commercial activities without any fear and favor.
The Director Estate Management has given a detailed briefing about RDA’s vacant land, transfer cases in RDA’s own properties / RIT (old) Schemes, verification and clearance of residential and commercial buildings.
The Director General RDA directed the Estate Management Directorate RDA that the use of vacant land should be finalized as soon as possible.
The Chairman RDA has appreciated the completion of the work on Dr. Qadeer Khan road on the fast track basis. Stressing on the importance of speedy and quality work with regard to Ketchery Chowk, Ammar Chowk and Defence Chowk Rawalpindi, he directed the RDA Engineering Directorate to work hard. He directed all the employees to work honestly and diligently for redressal of grievances of the general people. He said when there is no physical impediment in the way of work, it should not be delayed. We should significantly increase the working hours to alleviate the hardships of the common people, he added.
Asif Mehmood Janjua, Director MP&TE Jamshed Aftab, Director Estate Management Saima Younis, DD Finance Muhammad Junaid Taj Bhatti, DD Admin Iftikhar Ahmad Janjua, DD Engineer Azizullah and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
