*First senate session of the parliamentary year was held at parliament house*

Islamabad : While addressing the inaugural session of Senate, leader of the house Dr. Shehzad waseem congratulated chairman senate on his reelection. He also congratulated leader of opposition and all other newly elected senators.
He said that narrative that we present should be inline with national interest.
He further added that no protests or any kind of threats can derail Prime Minister Imran khan from his mission.
Leader of the house invited all political parties to jointly work towards electoral as well as judicial reforms
He stressed on importance of Senate as upper house of parliament and was hopeful that all opposition parties will play positive role in the proceedings of house for greater good of the country
He than moved onto present the Motion to formulate committees of the Senate which was adopted after due deliberations
Dr. shahzad waseem also briefed the house regarding governments strategy to deal with covid-19 pandemic
