*Pakistan Embassy Declared Top Relief Provider*

Niamey: H.E. Mr. Habou Moussa, Minister of Humanitarian Action & Disaster Management of Republic of Niger, arranged a program to thank the government of Pakistan on its Humanitarian Assistance to flood affected population. He recognized Pakistan Embassy as top that supported Niger during flood-2020. He acknowledged that Pakistan Embassy stand out ‘Top’ with eleven relief activities across the country. He appreciated Pakistan’s Cash Assistance of USD 100,000 Cash, Arrival of Two Pakistan Air Force C-130s carrying Flood Assistance and Pakistan Navy Ship carrying 36000 Rice sacks for Niger. The gift for brotherly Nigerien flood affected population follows a commitment made by the government of Pakistan in November 2020.

Ambassador of Pakistan highlighted that on the Directions of Hon’ble Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi gifted USD 100, 000 cash, 10,000 bags rice as urgent help to flood affected populations. Two PAF C-130s brought relief assistance in Niamey and Zinder. The Embassy went to six regions and offered humanitarian assistance. Pakistan Navy Ship “NASR” is arriving Cottonou carrying thousands of ton food assistance for Niger during the last week of February 2021. He further assured that Pakistan would keep it’s support continue for the brotherly people of the Republic of Niger.
