Guidelines Announced for Eid-Ul-Azha should be Implemented in Letter and Spirit
ISLAMABAD, July 15:
Health Minister Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that health workers in Pakistan are rendering exemplary services with determination and the reduction in the number of new corona cases is due to dutiful health workers. These views were expressed by Dr. Zafar Mirza while tweeting a video message of healthcare workers addressing the nation. The video message recorded by doctors, nurses and paramedical staff is part of the Ministry of Health’s “WeCare” program. Paying a heartfelt tribute to the Frontline Health Workers, the Health Minister said that the determination of the Healthcare Workers was helping to deal with Corona in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s initiatives for the protection of healthcare workers were being appreciated all over the world and it was noteworthy that despite limited resources, the government had given top priority to the protection of healthcare workers. He said that more than one lakh health workers across the country were being given special training on proper use of personal protective equipment and Pakistan’s initiative was being lauded globally. He said that under WeCare, more than 60,000 health workers have already been trained in the four provinces, the federal capital, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The Health Minister also appealed to the people to take precautionary measures to ensure the safety of their loved ones as well as front line health workers. He said that the official guidelines announced for the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha should be implemented in letter and spirit. People should use masks during Eid prayers and keep a distance of six feet between them to avoid the spread of Covid-19. Dr. Zafar Mirza said that we will be able to further control the situation with public support and strict implementation on the precautionary measures.
