Anti-locust heart operation Latest Status Overall situation

According to the details released by the National Locust Control Center, joint teams of Agriculture Department, Food Security and Pakistan Army are conducting comprehensive survey and control operations against locusts in different districts of the country. 966 joint teams in 31 districts I am participating.
So far, 388378 square kilometers (approximately 9.55 crore acres) have been surveyed and 9297 square kilometers (approximately 94.22 million acres) have been controlled. More than 5,082 people and 648 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation.

  • In the last 24 hours in Punjab province, 234128 acres were surveyed and 988 acres were under control operation. 2282 people (including Pakistan Army) and 323 vehicles took part in the survey. So far, surveys have been carried out on 83.2 million acres and operations have been carried out on 849,210 acres across the province.

In the last 24 hours in Sindh province, 93900 acres were surveyed and operation was carried out in 2217 acres in 4 districts (Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, Khairpur, Nowshero Feroz) on the presence of locusts. 627 people (including Pakistan Army) and 97 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation. So far 20 million acres have been surveyed and 150110 acres have been operated across the province.

  • In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a survey was conducted on 196918 acres in the last 24 hours. 865 people (including Pakistan Army) and 109 vehicles took part in the survey. So far 44.1 million acres have been surveyed and 154527 acres have been operated across the province.
